Stuck in your skills progression or struggling to come back from a crash? Join us to get skills and tips for discovering your badass self on the mountain bike!
The mental blocks of mountain biking can sometimes feel like mountains. This is especially true if you’re stuck in your skills progression or struggling to come back from a crash or injury. But building confidence on the bike takes more than just skills—it starts in the mind.
In this special Stöke Session, Coach Leigh and Duluth-based Coach Sam of Sam Crow Coaching will help you tap into the power of your true badass self.
**This session is open to ALL riders of all abilities. Space is limited to 12 participants.**
This Session Is for You If:
You have a nemesis trail or feature you have not yet cleaned.
You’re in your head after a crash.
You know the skills but feel stuck in your riding.
You’ve been off the bike due to injury, illness, or life.
You feel like you’ve lost your MTB mojo.
What to Expect
In this two-and-a-half hour session held in Bauhaus’ roomy back parking lot, you’ll start by learning simple, powerful mindset practices from Coach Sam, a PMBIA-certified MTB coach and mental strength coach.
Sam’s practices will help you learn how to reconnect with your body, work with fear (not against it), and ride from a place of trust and strength. You'll hear about the "stretch zone" for building confidence without overwhelm—and how it applies to your MTB journey. You’ll create a personal affirmation to carry with you on and off the bike.
Next, you’ll have the chance to explore what confidence feels like in your body through a skills practice led by Coach Leigh, a BICP-certified MTB coach who has recently come back from an injury. You’ll get tips for staying out of panic mode, deepening your connection to the bike, and practicing confidence-boosting skills at home.
You’ll wrap up the evening with a quick goal-setting exercise to empower you for the rest of the summer. While enjoying a delicious Bauhaus beverage (included with your registration, gluten-free and NA options available), you’ll set an intention for your next ride. Cheers to you!
